Join the Permaculture Design & Forest Farming Workshop on June 1st, 2024, at the Oceana Conservation District in Shelby. Led by expert Nathan Ayers, this workshop will delve into the world of permaculture, a design system mimicking nature to create sustainable and productive farms.
Approved by the USDA, permaculture integrates trees and crops, fostering biodiversity and environmental health. Ayers, from the Chiwara Permaculture Research and Education, will share valuable resources on planning, designing, planting, and maintaining a permaculture-based forest farm system, suitable for properties of any size.
This workshop also offers something for Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) participants, with Phase I credit available for attendees.
