A new Field Crops IPM Course offers RUP credits

The new Field Crops IPM Course is a an online, self-paced course offered by Michigan State University Extension that provides farmers an opportunity to earn restricted use pesticide (RUP) credits while reviewing integrated pest management (IPM) for the most common pest problems.

In December 2022, specialists provided an update for growers and agribusiness on weeds, insects, disease and nematodes during our Crop and Pest Management Update Meeting. We have now recorded those sessions and made them available, for free, with four credits available towards Commercial CORE, Private CORE, 1A or 1B. The recordings have been made available through the Desire-to-Learn (D2L) platform as a course, along with supplemental handouts and videos.

This course will run from March to November of 2023.

For additional information or assistance, contact the Gratiot County MSU Extension office at 989-875-5233 or atkinmon@msu.edu.
