The MI Ag CORE Leadership Program is open for registration for 2024. The program is aimed at helping Michigan farmers and agricultural professionals grow their leadership experience and skills through a year-long professional development series.
The program consists of seven total sessions, three in-person and four online. The application is open until November 1, 2023 and can be found at miagcore.com. Applicants will be notified by December 1, 2023 if they have been accepted into the program.
The MI Ag CORE leadership program was developed by the leaders of three Michigan commodity organizations: The Michigan Potato Industry Commission; the Michigan Wheat Program; and the Michigan Soybean Committee. The program was created to help Michigan farmers and agricultural professionals develop the skills they need to be successful leaders.
The MI Ag CORE leadership program covers a variety of topics, including communication, human resources, and governance. Participants also have the opportunity to work on a real-world project with a mentor. The program concludes with a presentation of the participants' projects to a panel of judges.
