Michigan's agricultural community is gearing up for the much-anticipated 2024 Young Farmer Leaders Conference, set to take place in Port Huron from February 23rd to 25th. This annual event is aimed at young farmers aged 18-35, offering a platform for networking, learning, and leadership development.

With an agenda packed full of enriching activities, attendees will dive into various engaging sessions. Friday's schedule features guided tours, including visits to notable sites like the Blue Water Bridge border port and innovative local farm operations. This year brings a fresh addition of small-group experiences, providing hands-on learning opportunities and chances to contribute to service projects, alongside leisure moments to explore downtown Port Huron.

Saturday promises to be a day brimming with interaction, featuring district networking sessions, 15 diverse breakout sessions, and an engaging live auction to support the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture. The evening will feature keynote speaker Randy Grieser, known for his insightful perspectives on intentional leadership from his works "The Ordinary Leader" and "Don’t Blame the Lettuce.” Grieser's session aims to challenge participants in refining their leadership skills.

The night continues with a lively team trivia event, offering an enjoyable test of knowledge. The conference concludes on Sunday morning with comprehensive workshops, aiming to provide attendees with deep insights and practical takeaways.

Registration for this enriching experience opens from January 3rd to 12th. Those interested in participating are encouraged to secure their spots at the 2024 Young Farmer Leaders Conference by contacting their county Farm Bureau. This event promises to be an empowering and enlightening experience for all attendees in the agricultural community.
