Students interested in agriculture and food industry careers will have an excellent opportunity to connect with employers and learn about future job opportunities at the 2026 Agriculture & Food Industry Fair hosted by Michigan State University (MSU).
The event is scheduled for September 29, 2026, and will take place at the Munn Ice Arena from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fair is designed to bring students and industry professionals together, creating valuable networking opportunities while helping participants explore a wide range of career paths.
The Agriculture & Food Industry Fair welcomes students who are searching for internships, part-time positions, or full-time employment opportunities. Employers attending the event will represent many areas of the agricultural and food sectors, providing students with a broad understanding of the career possibilities available after graduation.
Participants will be able to learn about careers in agribusiness, sales, marketing, logistics, research and development, and technical support roles. These positions play an important role in supporting modern agricultural production and food supply systems.
The event will feature employers from multiple agricultural fields. Students can interact with organizations involved in agronomy, dairy production, equine management, livestock production, poultry operations, companion animal services, fruit and vegetable production, as well as landscape and turfgrass industries. This diversity allows attendees to explore careers that match their interests and educational backgrounds.
In addition to agricultural employers, the fair will also highlight opportunities within the food industry. Organizations involved in product development, food safety, quality assurance, manufacturing, and operations are expected to participate. These sectors continue to offer growing career opportunities for students interested in food production, innovation, and quality management.
Career fairs provide a valuable environment for students to gain insight into employer expectations and industry trends. Attendees can learn about different companies, discuss career goals with recruiters, and discover skills that are in demand across the agriculture and food industries.
Students are encouraged to prepare professional resumes and take advantage of the networking opportunities available during the event. Meeting potential employers face-to-face can help build professional connections and increase awareness of internship and employment opportunities.
The event is hosted through a collaboration between the Career Services Network and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, reinforcing Michigan State University's commitment to supporting student career development and industry engagement.
The 2026 Agriculture & Food Industry Fair promises to be a valuable experience for students seeking to explore career pathways, connect with industry leaders, and gain a deeper understanding of the many opportunities available within the agriculture and food sectors.
