Register for 2025 crop and pest management meeting

Michigan State University Extension and local field crop educators will host the 2025 Crop and Pest Management Update on January 10, 2025, at The Franklin Inn in Bad Axe, Michigan. The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET, offering attendees insights into the latest agricultural research and strategies.

Registration Details

The registration fee is $40 per person and includes lunch and a complimentary 2025 Weed Guide, courtesy of Michigan Corn, Michigan Soybean Committee, and Michigan Wheat. Early registration closes on January 8, 2025. Visit the MSU ANR events page to register or contact Shelly at the Huron County MSU Extension office for assistance.

Program Highlights

This meeting provides a unique opportunity to engage with multiple MSU Extension specialists. Topics include:

Weed Control: Erin Burns will discuss weather impacts, and Christy Sprague will provide practical weed management solutions.

Field Crop Diseases: Marty Chilvers will share insights into managing crop diseases.

Agronomic Strategies: Maninderpal Singh will focus on effective management practices.

Alfalfa Autotoxicity: Kim Cassida will explore alfalfa-related challenges.

Soil Fertility: Kurt Steinke will present strategies to optimize soil health.
