3 Hours That Could Save Your Life: Grain Bin and Manure Pit Safety Sessions Coming to Michigan

You know the dangers, and you’ve heard the stories.

Grain bin and manure pits can turn deadly in an instant — but three upcoming events from the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety can help you with the training and knowledge to keep yourself, your family, and your employees safe.

The grain bin safety program is intended for co-ops, farm operators, employees, and agriculture business owners, while the manure pit safety program is intended for commercial manure applicators, farm operators, and workers and agriculture business owners

The events, sponsored by Michigan Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan, MSU Extension, and Michigan Corn, are being held July 25-27, including sessions at:

Michigan Agricultural Commodities, 7115 Maple Valley Road, Brown City, MI 48416, Tuesday, July 25, 2-5 p.m.

Clinton County Fairgrounds, 800 W. Sickles St., St Johns, MI 48879, Wednesday, July 26, 2-5 p.m.

Berlin Fairgrounds, 2008 Berlin Fair Drive, Marne, MI 49435, Thursday, July 27, 2-5 p.m.

Registration is free and required for each event. Click here to sign up.
