On June 1, 2022, Michigan corn stocks totaled 113 million bushels, 40 percent higher than a year earlier, according to Marlo D. Johnson, director, USDA NASS, Great Lakes Regional Office. About 48 percent of the corn was stored on farms. The third quarter disappearance was 59.6 million bushels, compared with 75.4 million bushels a year earlier.
Soybean stocks on June 1, 2022, were 25.5 million bushels. That was 20 percent higher than stocks a year earlier. Farm stocks of soybeans were 5.50 million bushels. The third quarter indicated disappearance was 27.5 million bushels compared with 24.5 million bushels a year ago.
Wheat stocks on June 1, 2022, were 15.0 million bushels, 9 percent above a year ago. Fourth quarter indicated disappearance was 10.4 million bushels, compared with 9.46 million bushels last year.
