Michigan State University AgBioResearch and MSU Extension are gearing up to host several field days across Michigan in 2025, providing farmers, growers, and producers with the latest research findings and practical strategies.
These events, scheduled from May to September, are designed to engage participants in hands-on learning and offer valuable resources for improving agricultural practices.
The field days will cover a wide range of agricultural topics, including food-grade grains, wheat, grapes, potatoes, and turfgrass. Faculty and staff from MSU AgBioResearch and MSU Extension, in collaboration with Michigan's agricultural commodity organizations, will present their research and discuss strategies to help farmers thrive.

- May 16: Irrigation Workshop at the Trevor Nichols Research Center, Fennville, MI
- June 10: Food-Grade Grains Field Day at the Kellogg Biological Station, Hickory Corners, MI
- June 25: Weed Field Day at the MSU Agronomy Farm, Lansing, MI
- June 25: Wheat Field Day at the Plant Pathology Field Laboratory, Lansing, MI
- June 28: Honey Bee Medicine In-Hive Clinic, Lansing, MI
- July 22: Beginning Farmer Field Day at the West Central Michigan Research Center, Hart, MI
- July 30: 36th Annual Michigan Viticulture Field Day at the Southwest Michigan Research Center, Benton Harbor, MI
- July 31: Enology Experience Day at the Lake Michigan College Welch Center, Benton Harbor, MI
- Aug. 2: Breakfast on the Farm at the Horse Teaching and Research Center, Lansing, MI
- Aug. 7: Potato Field Day at the Montcalm Research Center, Lakeview, MI
- Aug. 13: MSU and Michigan Turfgrass Foundation Field Day at the Hancock Turfgrass Research Center, Lansing, MI
- Aug. 19: Farming for the Future Field Day at the West Central Michigan Research Center, Hart, MI
- Aug. 19: Field Day at the Saginaw Valley Research Center, Frankenmuth, MI
- Sept. 4: 3rd Annual Long-Term Agroecosystem Research Field Day at the Kellogg Biological Station, Hickory Corners, MI
- Sept. 25: Field Day at the Trevor Nichols Research Center, Fennville, MI
These events are open to the public, with some free to attend and others requiring registration or a fee.
