On March 1, 2022, Michigan corn stocks totaled 173 million bushels, 11 percent higher than a year earlier, according to Marlo D. Johnson, director, USDA NASS, Great Lakes Regional Office. About 54 percent of the corn was stored on farms. The second quarter disappearance was 90.3 million bushels, compared with 99.0 million bushels a year earlier.
Soybean stocks on March 1, 2022, were 52.8 million bushels. That was 15 percent higher than stocks a year earlier. Farm stocks of soybeans were 19.0 million bushels. The second quarter indicated disappearance was 25.6 million bushels compared with 27.4 million bushels a year ago.
Wheat stocks on March 1, 2022, were 25.3 million bushels, 9 percent above a year ago. Third quarter indicated disappearance was 10.9 million bushels, compared with 8.88 million bushels last year.
