Webinar Explores Organic Market Premiums for Farm Products

By Andi Anderson

Farmers and organic producers interested in learning how to price their products competitively are invited to attend a free online webinar titled “Organic Market Premium – How Much Can I Expect to Get for My Products?” The event will take place on Tuesday, October 28, from noon to 1 p.m. EST.

Hosted by the Michigan Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP), the webinar will explore how organic market premiums vary among different crops and products, offering valuable insight into pricing strategies and consumer trends. Participants will gain a better understanding of what kind of premium prices they can expect when marketing certified organic goods.

Guest speaker Cheryl Kobernick of North Star Organics will discuss her experience marketing certified organic cherries, while Jessica Edson and Emily M. from Edson Farms Natural Foods Market & Deli will share a retail perspective, highlighting what drives demand and premium pricing in today’s organic marketplace.

This event is designed for farmers, marketers, and anyone exploring organic certification, providing a realistic look at opportunities and challenges in selling organic products.

Registration is free and open to the public. To sign up, visit https://www.canr.msu.edu/events/organic-market-premium-webinar.

The webinar is part of Michigan TOPP’s ongoing efforts to support organic transitions through educational outreach and technical assistance.
