Shady Lane Cellars is hosting a free workshop on July 12th, titled "Unleash Your Soil's Potential: BioChar & Humus Compost." This informative session is designed to equip you with the knowledge and techniques to enhance your soil's vitality and promote flourishing plant life.

The workshop features presentations by renowned experts:

Barry Krull from Krull's Composting will delve into the benefits of humus compost and its role in creating healthy soil.

Rob LaPorte will provide insights into the science behind biochar, a charcoal-like substance used for soil improvement.

In addition to the presentations, Andy Fles will share practical tips on creating and using biochar at home for your own gardening needs. A Q&A session will also be included, allowing you to ask questions and get expert advice from the presenters.
