Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) continues its unwavering support for dairy education by awarding scholarships to eight deserving students at Michigan State University (MSU). The $23,500 in scholarships, granted for the 2023-2024 academic year, reflects MMPA's dedication to shaping the future of the dairy industry.
The recipients, chosen based on academic excellence, involvement in the dairy sector, and compelling letters of recommendation, are pursuing careers in the dynamic field of dairy. MMPA President & CEO, Joe Diglio, emphasized the association's commitment to fortifying Michigan's dairy industry by investing in the education of future leaders.
The scholarships are specifically designated for MSU students pursuing a dairy management certificate in the Institute of Agricultural Technology or enrolled in the Dairy Concentration Program within the Department of Animal Science. MMPA extends its scholarship program to members or children of members enrolled in agriculture-related majors at Purdue University and The Ohio State University.
As part of its broader initiatives in youth development and education, MMPA supports programs such as the Michigan Dairy Ambassador Scholarship and Leadership program, as well as the Michigan Dairy Memorial and Scholarship Foundation.
