In a proactive effort to alleviate food insecurity, the Farm Bureau Insurance Agent Charitable Fund (ACF) in Michigan has recently bestowed ten nonprofit organizations and school districts with grants totaling $25,000. These grants are geared towards bolstering hunger relief initiatives in various communities.
Administered by the ACF, these Feeding the Future Grants represent an investment of $144,000 for this year alone. Nominations for these grants originate from local Farm Bureau Insurance agents, and the selection process is carried out by a committee of ACF donors.
Consideration is given to the organization's needs, the population they serve, and the overarching goals of their programs. The upcoming round of Feeding the Future Grants is now open, with grants available up to $4,000 per organization.
Recipients of these impactful grants span across Michigan and include:
• Allegan County Food Pantry — Allegan: The grant will be channeled into stocking the food pantry with canned goods and cooking ingredients, benefiting those in need.
• City on a Hill Community Church — Olivet: This grant will facilitate weekly grocery support for families and provide food to Pre-K through 12th grade students during weekends.
