The Farmers’ Creamery, located in Mio, MI, has initiated a voluntary recall of specific milk products manufactured on February 7, 2024. The recall stems from potential irregularities in the pasteurization process, which could compromise the safety of the products.
Although there have been no reported instances of illness or hospitalization associated with the affected items, it's essential to note that consuming inadequately pasteurized dairy products carries inherent health risks. This risk is particularly pronounced for vulnerable demographics such as young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
The dairy products subject to recall are typically packaged in plastic bottles. One of the affected items is "European Food Factory’s - Plain Yogurt," which can be identified by the label "European Food Factory 100% Grass Fed A2/A2 MOOMOO Grade A Plain Yogurt" and specific lot codes marked as "Sell By 4-8."
As a precautionary measure, The Farmers’ Creamery has promptly notified its distributors to facilitate the retrieval of all recalled products. Retailers and distributors are urged to remove the affected yogurt from their shelves and return them to the European Food Factory in Livonia, MI.
Customers who have purchased the recalled products are advised not to consume them. Instead, they should either discard the items safely or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
For any inquiries or concerns regarding this recall, individuals are encouraged to reach out to The Farmers’ Creamery directly at 989-826-8368.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of consumers remains the top priority for The Farmers’ Creamery, and the company appreciates the cooperation and understanding of its customers during this recall process.
