Greenstone Supports MSU Farm Bureau Pavilion Expansion

Greenstone Supports MSU Farm Bureau Pavilion Expansion

By Andi Anderson

GreenStone Farm Credit Services, a leading rural lender headquartered in East Lansing, Michigan, has partnered with Michigan State University’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) to support the expansion of the Farm Bureau Pavilion. The partnership strengthens agricultural education and community engagement across the state.

The Farm Bureau Pavilion hosts more than 100 agricultural, youth, and commercial events each year, welcoming over 100,000 visitors and contributing more than $7 million annually to the local economy. Planned upgrades include a second indoor arena and expanded exhibition space, allowing multiple events to run simultaneously while creating new opportunities for learning and innovation in agriculture.

In recognition of this contribution, the Pavilion’s concourse has been renamed the GreenStone Farm Credit Services Concourse. The space will continue to serve as a gathering place for producers, students, and agricultural professionals from across Michigan.

“We are deeply grateful for GreenStone’s continued partnership and investment in the future of Michigan agriculture,” said Matt Daum, Dean and Associate Provost of CANR. “The Pavilion is more than a building—it’s where young people discover their passion for agriculture and future career paths.”

Travis Jones, President and CEO of GreenStone, emphasized the company’s long-standing commitment to rural communities. “The GreenStone Farm Credit Services Concourse reflects over a century of dedication to supporting Michigan’s agricultural heritage,” he said.

Originally constructed in 1996, the Pavilion was renamed in 2024 after a gift from the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies. It remains a cornerstone of Michigan’s agricultural community, hosting iconic events like the Spartan Stampede Rodeo, Michigan Livestock Expo, and 4-H and FFA programs.

GreenStone’s ongoing support reinforces its mission to invest in the future of agriculture, strengthen educational partnerships, and promote rural prosperity throughout Michigan.
