Michigan State University's Institute for Food Laws & Regulations (IFLR) will present a Food Labeling Workshop March 7-8 at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Resort, Disney Springs, Orlando, Fla.
This workshop is designed for food industry and regulatory personnel who are responsible for the development or review of food labels in compliance with U.S. federal law. Trade association staff, food consultants, and attorneys will also find this program valuable.
Topics covered will include the latest information on food allergen labeling, requirements for principal display and information panels, ingredient statements, nutritional content, health claims, and practical issues related to food labeling regulation. The workshop format will also allow time for questions and a hands-on review of label problems.
"Labeling regulations are a specialized, complex area of law," said Neal Fortin, IFLR Director, "understanding these requirements is both essential for staying within the law and staying competitive in today's marketplace."
