A dedicated team of coordinators from Michigan State University’s Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) has been recognized for their outstanding efforts in student advising. They have received the 2024 Collaborative Excellence in Advising Award for their teamwork, innovation, and commitment to student success in partnership with community colleges across Michigan.
The award highlights their efforts in making career-focused agricultural education more accessible. By working with institutions such as Bay College, Delta College, and Montcalm Community College, the team has helped students earn MSU IAT certificates at 12 locations throughout the state.
This recognition is based on the impact of their collaborative approach in academic advising. The award celebrates sustainable partnerships that foster student achievement and positively influence the advising community.
The nomination outlined key contributions made by the team, including:
