Michigan State University Extension will host the Vegetable and Field Crop Production Update on February 18, 2025, at the Saginaw Valley Research and Education Center in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is free to attend, with lunch provided.
This meeting will bring together vegetable and field crop producers for discussions on key advancements in agricultural technology and production methods. Experts from Michigan State University (MSU) Extension will share updates on several important topics, including:
- Robotic weed control in vegetable farming
- Disease updates and integrated pest management
- Using drones for pest management
- Respirator selection and proper cartridge usage
- Insights on the Endangered Species Act and pesticide regulations
Attendees will also learn about Bulletins Live! Two, a system developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to help farmers comply with region-specific pesticide use regulations to protect endangered species.
This event is an excellent opportunity for farmers to connect with experts, expand their knowledge, and stay updated on the latest innovations in vegetable and field crop production. The meeting is limited to 150 attendees, so early registration is recommended.
