Culver’s Thank You Farmers Project hits $6.5M in donations

By Andi Anderson

Culver’s Thank You Farmers Project reached a significant milestone in 2024, raising $1.5 million to support agricultural education and climate-smart initiatives. Since its launch in 2013, the project has garnered over $6.5 million in donations, funded primarily through guest contributions.

The program benefits local and national organizations, including the National FFA Organization and U.S. Farmers and Ranchers in Action. These efforts aim to promote sustainable farming practices and secure the future of agriculture. “We’re proud to be part of the movement to advance the future of agriculture,” said Alison Demmer, Culver’s senior marketing and public relations manager.

In 2024, Culver’s hosted several successful events to raise funds and awareness:

Scoops of Thanks Day: Guests donated $169,457 by purchasing a scoop of custard for $1, supporting local FFA chapters.

Concretes for a Cause: Over five days, $1 from each Concrete Mixer sold systemwide raised $517,825 for local hunger relief initiatives.

FFA Ambassadors Program: Culver’s recognized standout FFA members, awarding prizes and funds to FFA chapters. More than 380 members were nominated, with nine ambassadors earning up to $2,500 each for their chapters.

To Farmers With Love Contest: Guests nominated farmers for recognition. Thirty winners will receive $500 cash and other prizes, with additional donations made to their local FFA chapters.

Share Night Events: Culver’s in Kent County donated 10% of proceeds to Farmland Preservation efforts, contributing to local land conservation programs.

Culver’s continues to demonstrate its commitment to agriculture, ensuring support for farmers and sustainable practices. Its initiatives not only strengthen communities but also highlight the importance of agriculture in everyday life.
