Wyant’s reappointment by the Governor ensures continuity from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2027.
Andy Chae, representing Detroit, steps into the role of Vice Chair. His ownership of FishEye Farms brings practical insights to the table. Governor-appointed since July 7, 2021, Chae is committed to advancing Michigan’s agricultural landscape.
Dr. Felicia Wu, based in Okemos, takes on the secretary position. Her appointment by the Governor on March 14, 2023, underscores her expertise in food systems and rural development.
Commissioner Kathy Garthe joins the team, appointed by Governor Whitmer. Her term, spanning from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2027, promises innovative approaches. Garthe steps into the role after the distinguished tenure of Juliette King-McAvoy.
