The American Farm Bureau Federation's 105th Convention recently recognized outstanding achievements in the implementation of member programs and membership growth for 2023. Several State Farm Bureaus received prestigious awards for their exceptional contributions.
Delaware, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Arkansas, and North Carolina were honored with the esteemed Pinnacle Award, the highest recognition for program and membership achievement.
The New Horizon Awards celebrated innovative initiatives from various states:
- Delaware received accolades for its Ag Safety Conference, promoting agricultural safety practices.
- Nevada's Ag Wagon, an educational mobile unit using virtual reality to educate urban consumers about agriculture, earned well-deserved recognition.
- Minnesota's Agriculture Celebration Gala, focused on recognizing the history of Minnesota agriculture and supporting the state's farming success.
- Oklahoma's Farm Bureau Capitol Camp provided high school 4-H and FFA members with a two-day mock legislative experience to enhance their understanding of agriculture advocacy.
- Mississippi's Landmark Leadership Council targeted Farm Bureau members aged 35-55, fostering leadership skills and understanding through increased service opportunities.
- Texas impressed with the Speak Out for Agriculture Challenge, a competitive contest for high school 4-H and FFA members to advocate on various agricultural topics while honing critical thinking and communication skills.
The Awards of Excellence celebrated State Farm Bureaus excelling in Advocacy, Coalitions & Partnerships, Engagement & Outreach, and Leadership & Business Development. Nevada Farm Bureau Federation earned recognition in Advocacy, Coalitions & Partnerships, and Engagement & Outreach. Numerous State Farm Bureaus were lauded in all four categories, showcasing their comprehensive excellence in advancing agriculture.
The convention highlighted the commitment and innovation of State Farm Bureaus, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the agricultural community.
